Digital Account Coordinator – Washington DC, Denver, Milwaukee, or Remote

We are looking for a Digital Account Coordinator to join our team. The Digital Account Coordinator will play a key role in producing emails and advertisements, and will work closely with client teams across ABD Direct. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of digital and multichannel campaign strategies for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate is creative, dedicated and energetic, with a passion for helping progressive causes and campaigns change the world.

Specific responsibilities include coding and deploying high-performing emails and webpages, developing and managing ad campaigns, and measuring and optimizing every step of donor journeys. You’ll maintain detailed schedules, traffic copy, extract data from eCRM systems, and prepare reports based on that data. Responsibilities may vary depending on experience. This position has excellent growth potential, and will include exposure to high-level facets of the organization’s operations. You’ll help some leading progressive organizations and political campaigns win and make the world a better place!

Experience and Qualifications

          • 1-3 years experience in digital marketing or an equivalent combination of related training and relevant experience (including internships and part-time work); nonprofit or political experience a plus
          • Experience working with HTML/CSS needed to set up, troubleshoot, and launch emails and basic web pages
          • Experience working on email campaigns, advocacy programs, and social media
          • Strong writing and editing skills
          • Intense attention to detail with strong self-organization skills
          • Mastery of HTML/CSS needed to set up, troubleshoot, and launch emails
          • Demonstrated understanding of email and digital advertising best practices and benchmarks
          • Knowledge of email platforms such as MailChimp and Constant Contact, as well as e-CRM platforms such as Luminate, EveryAction, Engaging Networks, Salesforce, and NGP a plus
          • Proficiency with Excel; good Google Suite, Word and PowerPoint skills
          • Exposure to Facebook Advertising, Google AdWords and Analytics helpful
          • Basic design skills in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite also a plus

Digital Strategist – Washington DC or Remote

We are looking for a Digital Strategist to join our political fundraising team. Digital Strategists are responsible for driving strategy for our clients. You will use your persuasive and creative writing skills to write email, SMS and ad copy as needed and oversee the fundraising campaigns from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

          • Write compelling content for email, text messaging, and ad campaigns that drives fundraising
          • Code, produce, target and test mass email communications
          • Create ActBlue and NGP forms and landing pages as needed
          • Contribute to calendar planning and fundraising brainstorms
          • Use multiple different CRMs to run email and SMS programs (ActionKit, BSD, Action Network, NationBuilder, MailChimp, etc.)
          • Target and segment emails to ensure strong program deliverability
          • Create, monitor, and analyze A/B test results
          • Participate in client facing calls and strategy meetings
          • Checklist emails for quality assurance

Experience and Qualifications

          • One cycle preferred working on email campaigns or political digital fundraising programs
          • Excellent writing and editing skills
          • Knowledge of email platforms like BSD, Action Network, Action Kit or NGP
          • Knowledge of mass SMS platforms
          • Working knowledge of ActBlue
          • Familiarity and competency with HTML and CSS preferred
          • Intense attention to detail with strong self-organization skills

The Digital Account Executive is a key member of a team, working with a Strategist, Creative Director, and Analyst. He/she is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of digital and multichannel campaign strategies. The ideal candidate is creative, dedicated and energetic, with a passion for helping progressive causes change the world. The Digital Account Executive will work with a variety of clients on both digital and integrated digital/direct mail programs.

Account Manager – Washington, D.C.

          • Proven experience multi-tasking and managing a high volume of projects simultaneously.
          • Exceptional customer service.
          • Able to develop and maintain quality control systems.

Account Assistant – Washington, D.C.

The Account Assistant plays a key role on account teams supporting both the internal teams as well as the client making sure that we are exectuing on our strategic plan to support the fundraising goals of our client partners.

Key Responsibilities

          • Assists team with all aspects of direct mail production.
          • Manages cost estimate development, invoicing and cost reconciliation.
          • Supports the development of all creative assets and coordinates edits with designers and the team.
          • Monitors and tracks all jobs across all channels and updates weekly schedule. Keeps all members of the team up to date.
          • Serves as primary proofreader for all materials being develop for clients.
          • Assists with management of inventory and print management.
          • Responsible for sample management in DC office.
        • Other administrative duties as required.

          • Knowledge of basic MS Office programs.
