Digital Strategist – Washington DC or Remote

We are looking for a Digital Strategist to join our political fundraising team. Digital Strategists are responsible for driving strategy for our clients. You will use your persuasive and creative writing skills to write email, SMS and ad copy as needed and oversee the fundraising campaigns from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

          • Write compelling content for email, text messaging, and ad campaigns that drives fundraising
          • Code, produce, target and test mass email communications
          • Create ActBlue and NGP forms and landing pages as needed
          • Contribute to calendar planning and fundraising brainstorms
          • Use multiple different CRMs to run email and SMS programs (ActionKit, BSD, Action Network, NationBuilder, MailChimp, etc.)
          • Target and segment emails to ensure strong program deliverability
          • Create, monitor, and analyze A/B test results
          • Participate in client facing calls and strategy meetings
          • Checklist emails for quality assurance

Experience and Qualifications

          • One cycle preferred working on email campaigns or political digital fundraising programs
          • Excellent writing and editing skills
          • Knowledge of email platforms like BSD, Action Network, Action Kit or NGP
          • Knowledge of mass SMS platforms
          • Working knowledge of ActBlue
          • Familiarity and competency with HTML and CSS preferred
          • Intense attention to detail with strong self-organization skills

Digital Ads Strategist – Washington DC or Remote

We are looking for a Digital Ads Strategist to join our digital fundraising team. They are responsible for the execution, and management of paid digital media campaigns across numerous clients to raise money and build quality email lists. The ideal candidate is creative, dedicated and energetic, with a passion for helping progressive causes change the world and a background in media buying.

Key Responsibilities

          • Start to finish project manager of digital ads campaigns: budget campaigns, write content, lead designers on creative, optimize pages for conversions, implement & test ad campaigns on multiple platforms, and optimize campaigns toward client goals.
          • Understanding the organization’s overall goals and creating a strategy to match.
          • Write compelling ad copy for both acquisition and direct donate campaigns that stays in line with our clients’ voices and messaging.
          • Develop campaign media plans, budgets, and goals for clients.
          • Serve as the day-to-day ads lead for clients.
          • Take part in brainstorms, team meetings, and calls. Oversee advertising campaigns with internal stakeholders through to the client approval process.
          • Analyze metrics and prepare reports for our clients on ad performance and test results, and suggest, best practices and next steps.
          • Develop A/B tests for all aspects of the ad campaign — content, design, targeting, landing page, etc.
          • Other responsibilities as needed.

Experience and Qualifications

          • 1-3 years working on direct response advertising campaigns with major platforms and managing multi-vendor media plans
          • 1-year minimum experience working with Facebook Business Manager, Google Grants and Google Ads
          • Attention to detail and organization while managing tight deadlines and multiple projects
          • Enjoy working with a team but also a self starter who will take projects to the next level

He/she is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of digital and multichannel campaign strategies. The ideal candidate is creative, dedicated and energetic, with a passion for helping progressive causes change the world. The Digital Account Executive will work with a variety of clients on both digital and integrated digital/direct mail programs.

Specific responsibilities include maintaining detailed schedules, trafficking copy, managing online advertising campaigns, quality assurance, social media posting, extracting data from CRM systems, and preparing reports based on that data. This position has excellent growth potential and will include exposure to high-level facets of the organization’s operations.           • Command of HTML/CSS needed to set up, troubleshoot, and launch emails
          • Demonstrated understanding of email and digital advertising best practices and benchmarks
          • Experience working with Facebook Advertising, Google AdWords and Analytics
          • Knowledge of CRM platforms such as Luminate, EveryAction, Charity Engine, Engaging Networks, and Salesforce
          • Strong writing and editing skills

          • Serves as primary proofreader for all materials being develop for clients.
